We caught some of that country music special on ABC, and for best Country Song ever (see B2), the three I came up with are

Don't Take the Girl by Tim McGraw, Live Like You Were Dying by Tim McGraw, or The Dance by Garth Brooks.

The first song practically brought me to tears the first time I heard it, the second is such an emotional song, and the last was a genre-changing song that is also incredibly written.

If I had to pick one, I'd pick Don't Take the Girl.

Now you can go about bashing country music again. (Which, to me, has fallen into the same rut rap has in the last 2 - 5 years.)
