I thought they did with Peavy what I said they shouldn't do with Gonzalez.

I thought they were determined to trade him, and took the best offer they could get.
The first option should be to try and extend him, and they should have the budget to do that. If he has no interest in that, then they should listen to offers.
If they keep him, and can't extend him, then all they end up with are a couple 2012 draft picks.
