It was a two-sided styrofoam container that they put the top bun (with the tomatoes, lettuce, etc) on one side so it stayed cold, and the hamburger on the bottom bun on the other side so it stayed hot.

They stopped selling them when they went away from styrofoam, as I remember it.

(It really was the only burger I ever liked at McD's)
