They've been airing out of production order.

Which isn't always continuity order, but is usually pretty close.
The production order of them (after the pilot)was:
Run For Your Wife
The Bicycle Thief
Coal Digger
Come Fly With Me
The Incident
En Garde
It was two episodes ago that was first day of school, which going by production (and continuity) order should have been the first episode after the pilot.
That's done with a lot of shows, especially sitcoms.
