Imagine if someone started a campaign to say that your life's work was a lie and that you were exploiting people for money.

Now imagine that your work was based on you actually caring about the welfare of the people that it's designed to protect, and you see the consequences of the lies they spread about you.
I wager, my friend, that you would get very fucking upset about that.
