Keep in mind, people's perceptions of him may have changed. That doesn't mean his perceptions of himself have changed much.
If you've been McGeek for a long, long time, it's not going to be an easy or quick shift to McSteamy.
Still, it'd be nice if he did have a relationship that just is and not one that serves some larger story like with "Amanda" or as has been done with Ziva.
