Especially this Christmas. Less flights, maybe less passengers, but still probably more than seats. It may already be too late for a cheap fare. And this year they weren't all that cheap. And throw in bad weather (it's winter there will be b ad weather somewhere) it just gets worse.

After New Year is much better but Christmas is the biggest time in the travel season, outside of Thanksgiving.
