Otherwise you might as well go back to the studio system where the talent were just well paid employees. There have been a couple attempts to recreate that and they all fail.
(do they have that in bollywood? it seems they crank out films as fast as they do L*O episodes here)
so they put less money into a few films with no stars and most of them make a lot less money, and the one that does break out, guess what, they're now stars, pay me.
