My doctor is keeping close tabs on my kidney function and at the same time keep me from getting congestive heart failure. I'm on this coctail of antibiotics (7 oral and 4 IV), diuretics (4 different ones, with 2 twice per day) and pain meds (2-3 15 mg extended release morphine, 4-6 Norco for break through pain and a valium once or twice per day) plus dressing changes once a day (seriously, I don't understand how burn patients do it, I'm about screaming by the time I've finished the debridment). I suppose I'm slowly getting better--last week I'd lost 36 pounds (mostly water) from 2 weeks prior. Before that, I lost 7 pounds 2 weeks in a row-so I've wiped out around 50 pounds in the last month by jumpstarting my kidneys and taking stuff to dry out my lungs. When it started, I'd just felt exhausted and out of it for days. Then the swelling hit and it's been hell.
I guess that's mostly why I haven't been around much, I'm supposed to be on bedrest with my legs elevated. God, is that boring. Then I'll come out and read some TT. My calm:annoyance ration is swinging hard to the annoyed side and there are a few people who can set me off in one post, so I've been staying away for that reason too. I do find it hilarious when I pull it up after being away 4-5 days and find out I've been in a fight with Stacy on Facebook. I've yet to figure that one out. :)
