I went the Best Buy route..it was 199....

I got a plan that is 900 minutes with unlimited Data which puts me around $77 a month, now for me that is what I need, you might not need that much....

also do yourself a favor and check out Letstalk.com for research (I've bought phones from them 3 times and loved the service) and the Clark Howard link I sent posted....
