most dogs will not pee in their home.

so probably not pee in the cage, but he will probably start whinning tonight in a few hours cause he will have to pee.

I think the rule of thumb is the age (months) divided by 2 is the max hours between peeing. I could be wrong on that, I am sure that you could find the answer on the net.

but you never want to leave the dog without water.
