zoetrope is totally the wrong word, but it's hilarious to use it in this context. :)

... perhaps the show is just an illusion of what being a secret agent did to his mind, and his sense of honor. As in, the only way he could preserve both, was to construct a psychological fantasy that allowed him to contain himself.
