With all of the acts out there, good and bad, you're more likely to get lost in the shuffle. Most music acts that get signed, never make any good money or nothing at all. And some even end up in debt from the label "loaning" them recording session money.
It's not selling out, it's selling both of your talents. Music and Entertainment.
