It's Star Wars all over again for me. Anytime anyone says they legitimately liked Twilight, I just shake my head in pity.

There is so much great gothic cinema. Why settle for this?
Responses:
The difference there is that Star Wars was loved by critics, fans and general moviegoers. Twilight is only liked by the loyal fanbase. -- nm

I watched the first one very objectively recently for my AFI project.

It depends. I mean, I like Revenge of the Sith and he hates it.

I think it's a little overrated *but* I think that it is also a super important set of films historically and to deny that is silly.

Ironically, this is something I like about Twilight. It's demonstrating what I've always said about Star Wars proving it's better to be lucky thangood

Except it's hard to find an all time top 100 list from a major listing that doesn't have the original Star Wars in that list.

You should brace for the same thing to happen to Twilight down the line. People drive lists.

Twlight has a 5.9 rating on IMDB. It didn't get nominated for Best Picture. It won't have re-releases.

It was an nothing film budget that earned $380 million worldwide. If you don't think that's a blockbuster...well, you're being silly.

As much as I wish it would, Twilight isn't going away. One out of every nine books sold the first half of this year was for this franchise. -- nm
