LOTR certainly has a lasting legacy - it has had fans since the books came out.

Harry Potter and Twilight - too early to tell.
I think HP has more potential, because I think HP fans are more likely to introduce their own children to the books.

Plus the HP franchise I think has been handled better than the Twilight franchise
