Titanic shifted popular culture so broadly that people took up sport of hating the thing, even a decade later.
Star Wars is the biggest movie series and is a threat to add 100mil to box office just for a re-release.
You can make a gajillion dollars and still have people wonder, "Who the fuck would admit to paying to see that?" That's Transformers 2.
