In thinking about it, I ultimately think Jon did the right thing. He did what he had to do to guarantee that he stayed around one more day. Really that's all he could do. Make sure to survive another day. Yeah, he's the last one into the group of six, but if he can stick around long enough to the point where he is the minority member he can maybe work his way into being the swing vote.
