"Japanese researchers have developed a set of lens-free glasses that beam text directly onto the retina using a tiny camera.
A planned use is simultaneous translation of multi-lingual conversations where the translation is relayed to the glasses and then displayed on your retina. This could also be easily used for captioning. The product is due to be released in late 2010, with a captioning/translation version available in 2011."
