local central banks always set the interest rates (and banks follow them when it's in THEIR interes)

but thats a whole other story
the DKNB follows the ECB interest rates stricktly and add about 1/4 %
the manager of the DKNB is appointed by the DK goverment and approved in a cometee in the parlament they rarely change them mostly due to age and retirement but Denmark is special in Europe sinve we have had manority goverments for 3 or 4 decades only and they have had the same overall fiscall policy (avoiding a state bankrupcy that was pritty close in the 1970ties)
