As a policy wonk myself, the public's appetite for the deal doesn't really weigh on me, but some questions on the deal....

1) How do you mean the debt is self-financing? I'm not quite getting how you mean that they'll pay either way.
2) HQ's rates are amongst the lower ones in the country from what I understand. How much of the rate increase is due to special New Brunswick-only rates and how much will be due to the fact that they'll be frozen during a period when I'll bet you that across the board energy costs will rise?
Like I said, my instincts are that New Brunswick - and all provincial governments - should be getting themselves out of the energy business, but I'm willing to hear it out if there are legitimate issues with the deal.
