Need some tech help please

My work computer (Windows XP) freezes up at the log-in screen. If I'm quick, I can type in my password and hit enter, but then it just freezes during 'Loading your personal settings'. Neither keyboard nor trackpad work. Safe Mode/Recovery Console don't load.

Options?
