And I don't know enough about the Canadian loan and real estate industries to say that the conditions were exactly the same. Whether you have the same type of laws and regulations and/or loopholes that allowed things like subprime loans and the amount that were made here.

Yes, interest rates were a partial cause of our problem and weak laws, weak regulations, greedy companies.
