The highest rate of pay in cinema history is that paid to Sulvester Stallone. He received $12 million for Cobra and the same for Over the Top before breaking his own record with a reported $16 million for Rocky IV. The highest paid actresses are Meryl Streep with $4 million for Out of Africa and the same for Heartburn, and Barbra Streisand with $5 million for Nuts.
