I worry a lot about the housing and if the city was to take over I'm not so sure I'd feel a whole lot better about it. The city's building a huge new housing and commercial complex near me in L.I.C. It says it's going to have "affordable housing" which is badly needed here. From what I've read it's not really affordable and will freeze out a huge portion of the population of Queens. It's looking more like affordable housing for people that can't afford to stay in Manhattan.
