Eh. I wouldn't have done it there, but football coaches are as conservative as they come. In the long run, going for it will be the better choice.

There is some good statistical research out there on this subject.
There is a high school coach (forget where) who doesn't punt at all.
Responses:
I believe there's some room in the game theory equilibruim to go for it on 4th down more often, but never? There's no way that's a good idea. (nm)
