If he can be acquired without gutting the farm system, then absolutely.

If Omar can pull off another Santana-like deal, then it's absolutely worth it. If it means dealing all their upper level minors (as I've heard rumored), then it's a self-deafeating strategy. I'd rather see them gamble on guys like Ben Sheets, Rich Harden, Randy Wolf and sign Matt Holliday (failing that, maybe Mike Cameron). With a protected first round pick, now is the time to go after a premium FA.
