stated that the numbers did not back that up. Piniero was a #3 starter who had much better numbers THIS season than Hamels.

The Phillies pitchers were not even close to the Cardinals pitchers.

Now the Phillies offense was spectacular, but usually the best pitching staffs make it far in the playoffs.
