but assuming I can get the rate lowered, it would be $700 a month less for knocking 1 point off.

gotta get this done before the rest of the world starts to send in paperwork to get their mortgages lowered. The girl told me this officially starts 12/1, but I called yesterday and they took my info right away with no mention of waiting 2 weeks.
