Yes, I am. Otherwise, you're making David's "Edgar should be in because he's the best DH" argument for him.

There's nothing inherent about playing second base that makes it any more difficult to hit than any other position. It's just that most of the time, it was a light hitting position. The same could have been said for shortstop before Cal Ripken.

If you think Alomar should get in, it should be based on merit alone. If his stats and defense aren't enough as an outfielder, they shouldn't be enough at second base. The opposite, of course, should also be true.
