Swisher won't be the everyday CF, he'd be a corner, playing CF in a pinch if needed.

His batting avg? That's the big deal? He's got a career .354 OBP and .451 slug%. Maybe not a superstar, but those are good/decent numbers.
You are just not appreciating the value that Cashman aquired, giving up only spare parts in return.
