It's the start of the offseason, there is *tons* of time to "fill needs". Acquiring talent doesn't stop that at all.

It's the Yankees, it's not like they're gonna see Swisher's paycheck and say, "oh no, we can't spend money now."

That's what the Yanks had before acquiring Swisher, now they at least have league average.
