It's a simple as that for me. I don't see him helping much no matter what his role.
There are plenty of guys on the team that can fill in in the OF. It's 1st base that I'm concerned with and he's no help there. Giambi walked a lot and didn't hit too, he didn't help the team either.
The Yanks don't need anymore backups they need starters that are going to contribute in multiple ways.
