pressure on the US maintaining this rating and the laughable answer to that is paraphrasing "The head guy of the S and P rating agency should be hauled before Congress and asked why are you making such ridiculous statements. The US, in US dollars, is triple A, that's it, that's the end of the story. Period. They can *print* dollars if they have to."
So from this guys point of view, if you have the ability to print money, then you're triple A. Oh my God. Reason no.9999 to ship half of Wall St. off to Guantanamo. They've done more damage to the economy than bin Laden could ever do.
