In that both have created movies wherein technology advances while still being understudies to the important parts of movies.

T2 is just a liquid metal blow-em-up without Arnold being humanized by Furlong's John Connor.
Titanic needed you to care about the people if you would sit through a pretty much real-time sinking of the ship.
