Abrams admitting not knowing squat about Trek until he made the film. It's obvious in this trailer that he's borrowing from Michael Bay and blowing shit up because it "looks cool."

That, and the ship interiors look like an Apple store.

Consider it Trek Beta: The Relaunch. For all you faithful folks, there'll be some names you know, but we're going to totally fuck with established continuity because we don't want to hire any really smart people who could relaunch without totally rebooting.
