about 2/3 of the way through the movie, we see the aliens and the army clash. The son wants to fight too, and he runs away from Cruise and Dakota up the hill. The whole hill goes up in a huge fireball
At the end of the film, Cruise and Dakota make it to Cruise's ex-wife's house in Boston. And who is there already? The son
