At no point did Lopez ever suggest that "[Grey] should just be kept quiet"
Newsweek's recent bawdy coverage is certainly noteworthy enough to point out. Nobody's calling for burning down their offices.
As for monogamy over all, I don't see a problem with not embracing it. The only problem is when you let down the people who think you *are* following it. Then it's a broken promise like any other, and certainly wrong.
