Pop quiz time: An MLA wrote the following on his Facebook page and was forced to resign.

"Another Liberal budget . . . Another $1 billion on the debt by March . . .Girls we need more babies or we will never be able to support our future."


To which, another MLA complained:

"....To suggest to New Brunswick's young women that their only role in society and their only contribution to the New Brunswick economy is to have babies is demeaning and outdated thinking."


Isn't the context of the statement obvious enough that you have to work to get offended? Or is it really just offensive?
