If I'm not mistaken; Lambert's perforamnce was his first performance, right?
he went off script in his own words with the gay kiss.
first time out and he's off-script...why would any broadcaster who doesn't seek out "HEADLINE" PR (unlike MTV) take a risk that he'll freelance the next time out for something that'll reflect back upon them?
