There are plenty of gay people that we don't hear about what they do in the bedroom.

If a male celebrity were dating some non-celebrity woman, it would barely be mentioned.
If a male celebrity were dating some non-celebrity man, it would be all over the place until they made some public statement about it.
Lots of guys have done the "I'm gay" press release just to get it over with and then faded back into the woodwork as far as their sex life goes.
