Tom Adams: Welcome to our live coverage of one of the most eagerly awaited events in the football calendar - the World Cup draw. Like leap years, the Olympics and an Emile Heskey goal, it comes around just once every four years so let's make the most of it.

Tom Adams: All 32 teams will be enveloped by nervous excitement by now as the draw is due to commence at 1700 GMT. As is customary with these big football events, we will have to sit through numerous video montages and some celebratory backslapping from various FIFA suits, so please bear with us on that count.

Tom Adams: Luckily, to brighten the occasion, we are honoured to have actress Charlize Theron as our host. The Oscar winner demonstrated a cheeky streak when, in the dummy draw, she announced 'Ireland' when picking out the 'France' ball. Expect DVD sales of �Monster� to dip in Dublin imminently.
