I mean, I know ILM advanced film making, but it seems as though Cameron is being more "cutting edge" and "risky" in order to advance the craft with his earnings, whereas Lucas (from my perspective) has coasted since the original Star Wars saga.

ILM has done more than can be counted. I have not read the Cameron stuff so I can not do a comparison, just saying that Lucas has done a lot. -- nm
