2.5 months now, with 1.5 months of not drinking either, and no intention of looking back.

it's a virtual non-issue now, especially with not drinking to screw it up. it only sucks when someone smokes in front of me, like at the bus stop or something. it was tough, but i did such a complete dismantling and rebuilding of a lot of different habits and facets of my life, it ended up being easier in a way, as only one component of a larger strategy, i guess.
started 2009 as a 295 lb, pack a day, heavy drinker, and will end it as a 250 lb sober non-smoker. i'm pretty proud of myself for all that.
