My general intuition that this woman I really liked who I had gone out with a couple times has something going on with the guy who threw the party may have proven to be more than just a neurotic hunch... my female friend who I was going to go to the party with (mainly so she could meet this woman and figure out my next step) proved to be unreliable, showing up really late because she had been invited to see a play with another guy (a mutual friend) who she ended up bringing to the party and he kind of screwed up our whole plans.
Just a downer of an evening that makes me think I should just give up on this woman, cancel our upcoming dinner plans and move on. (And of course, all this neurosis has added up to me still being awake at 3 in the morning.)
