milk cows have been bred for htose enourmous tits, way out of normal which gets infections constantly, so a free range cow would likely be a cow that

is not to freakish in design, doesn't give nearly as much milk and requires a lot less in anti-biotics which (unlike the growth hormones everyone seems to get worked up over) does get passed into the product and conusmer, along with some of the pus and infected material.

yes, they do have limits on the amount of pus etc that can be in your milk so if there is one or two sick cows they make sure to blend it with the rest so the amount is just below the limit, cuase they do have some standards
