even though BA Spanish sounds so different from "Castillian." We go around saying we speak "Castellano." When we talk about Spanish Castillian, we say "Castellano Hispano." Though that has always sounded odd to me, to say we speak that when I know Castillian exists in Spain, I have never questioned it. :-)

It does sound odd, though, I grant.
