I'd probably be more excited if I didn't feel so ripped off over ODST. That shouldn't have been $60.
My expectations are low, I expect it to look and play just like Halo 3, no big shakes. Nothing groundbreaking but they won't ruin the franchise.
Responses:
ODST used Halo 3's code. Reach is all new design from the ground up.

My biggest hope is that it makes me want to play Halo again.

Maybe they'll put some effort into a plot. -- nm

I really wonder why Halo 3's gameplay experience (as in, the campaign interaction/plot/story) seems so inferior to Half Life 2's -- nm

(The actual world that Halo is set in is rich and populated with many good stories ... but the game doesn't show it) -- nm

I agree. I think that's the only thing Half Life has over Halo. And Half Life is excellent -- nm
