because the "benefits" are overshadowed by the global impact

and by global - you're fooling yourself if you consider yourself out of that picture. its not about it being too hot in Florida - there are potentially drastic changes that would affect Alaska too.

and, like the desert plan, its just not as simple as thawing out the tundra. yes, some plants grow there, including grass, but it still lacks a lot of the nutrients required for quality food.

grass is a highly, highly resilient plant and it growing is not the same as growing crops or vegetables.
