Hey, I've never said I'm against ALL taxes... just the excessive ones.
This money (AFAIK) comes from our taxes on the local oil companies... so we're getting a cut on the resources they're pulling out of our land. And when the revenue ends up going to citizens who are actually DOING something to help themselves and the community at large... like you said, sometime taxation and redistribution works!
