Well, when 55% believe in unprovable angels, it's hard to show them something that is proven.

"Belief" is not about whether something can be proved. Faith plays a big role. -- nm

The problem is that Faith in an unprovable God is in direct opposition of Evolution of man. -- nm

So do you believe in Adam and Eve (and such), and that God created "man" in the form we currently are?

I don't believe in Adam and Eve as literal people, no. I take much of the origin stories in the bible to be metephorical (is that the right word)?

You are describing religious funamentalists, who believe the Bible word for word. Mos religious people are not fundametalist. -- nm

Is this part of accepted established religious dogma though? Or something that individuals accept so their belief and faith don't directly contradict?

This is my thought too - if you believe in God, it's no stretch to believe there are angels in Earth doing God's work -- nm

I would think (hope) that there are a lot of people that believe in "a god," but doesn't interact with humans on a daily basis.
